Santa Cruz + XP2

Santa Cruz + XP2

Well that was quick. I got another roll back from Bay Photo, the local lab here in Santa Cruz, within just over a day of dropping it off.

All of these shots are on the Leica M6 Classic with the Voigtlander Ultron 35mm f2 shot on Ilford XP2.

Film nerd fun fact: Ilford XP2 is a B&W film that you actually develop using a color film development process

Most of the frames in this roll are from a hike in Pogonip, a nature preserve near us. There's something kind of nice about shooting trees in B&W, especially in the foggy, moist weather we had that day.

I really like the details in this one, but they are kind of easy to miss unless viewed large.
I think the composition and tonal range of this one also came out nice.
This old rusty machinery made for a nice foreground element in this scene.
